One of the outcomes from the coaching is that my confidence in my decisions and my approach to dealing with issues has changed. This is seen in the shift in my behaviour leading to my staff being given more responsibility rather than taking it all on myself. Being more decisive has improved my confidence around more senior managers and I have developed an ability to “filter out” the political nonsense rather than taking it to heart as I did before the coaching.

I have developed my leadership qualities so that I can remain focused on what is important and, although understanding the politics going on around me, do not get dragged in and distracted by it. With Caroline’s help I have learned to accept what I cannot control. The coaching has helped me make difficult decisions sooner, thus stopping potential problems earlier. This may have stopped the issue earlier thus saving money, also needing to spend money on the “recovery”. The net effect though would be significant (in either reduced overspend or additional business brought in as a result) and has definitely been worth the investment in my opinion.

The quality of the coaching relationship and the quality of the coaching work done has been excellent as we very quickly established a relationship and honed in on the issues that I would benefit from. There was no superfluous “stuff”, but to the point and just what was needed. Being forced to make the time was probably the biggest benefit to me – ensuring I took that time out to think through my challenges. It’s so easy to always put it off because I’m too busy!

I started receiving coaching from Caroline just as I was promoted to my first board level position.
